WELCOME SOCIAL
The Rev. A. Hopper, who will commence his ministry at St. Kilda Methodist Church on Sunday next, received a very' hearty welcome on Wednesday, Evening, in Wesley Hall, Musselburgh. Mr J. Hinton presided. Short, but sincere words of welcome were spoken by representatives of the church departments, also by the Rev. R. Scott Allan, Rev. S. Griffith (ohairman Otago District) and Mr Green (Broad Bay). Anthema were rendered by tho choir, and solos by friends. The ladies kindly provided refreshments. Tho Rev. A. Hopper, in an appropriate 6peech, thanked the church officials for the enthusiastic welcome. Ho said ho folt convinced that he would receive the hearty co-operation and support of all members and adherents during his ministry at St. Kilda. He paid a genuine tribute to his predecessor (the Rev. A. J. Scamer). Tho nature of the social augured well for tho future success of tho church under its new minister.
