No further eases of infantile paralysis were reported in Dunedin yesterday. So far only two cases of the disease have been definitely diagnosed—those reported some dg,ys ago, when the appearance of the disease was firat notified here. Several other cases have been under observation, and fid far the medical authorities have reason .to consider these complaints very doubtful in jplation to infantile paralysis symptoms. It Baa been deemed advisable to exclude definitely from the category of suspects a number of cases under treatment. Speaking to a Daily Times reporter last night, Dr Champtaloup stated that the position was very satisfactory, and the diseas© apparently was making no headway. He agreed that the dull weather for the past day or so would contribute to the stamping out of the disease, and felt that if the precautions urged upon the community were observed infantile paralysis would bo eoon exterminated from these parts.
