SNOWSLIDE IN AMERICA
A TRAIN OVERWHELMED. CASUALTIES NOT KNOWN YET. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, January 24. A Seattle report states that a train on the Great Northern Railway was overwhelmed by a snowslide near the summit of the Cascades. A number of cars were carried down 300 ft into a gulch. From ftiese cars voices were subsequently heard. The baggage and sleeper cars remain on the line. Efforts are being made to reach the overwhelmed cars.
