MANUFACTURE OF MUNITIONS
GOVERNMENT CONTROL. AN IMMENSE SAVING. LONDON, December 16 Mr Lloyd George, speaking on the Munitions Amendment Bill, said it would remedy certain defects in the main Act. The Government had been able to savp between £10,000,000 and £20,000,000 in taking over the whole of the metal trade
of the country and controlling all the workshops. Strikes were now almost unknown, as the Munitions Act had succeeded in preventing strife and dissension.
