TREATMENT OF INVALIDED SOLDIERS.
RATION ALLOWANCE. (Peb United Phess Association.) AUCKLAND, November 20. 'Referring to tho fact that invalided soldiers receiving treatment in their own homes do not reoeive the ration allowance of 2s per day, which is paid when they are under treatment in hospitals or convalescent homes, Mr Massey fiaid to-night: "Now that my attention has been called to .the result of this arrangement, I shall consult the Defence Minister on the point with a view to _ tho matter being brought before tho. Cabinet, and an improvement being made. The Government as a whole is anxious to treat our returned soldiers well, and to do everything fwesiblo for their oomfort" — Round postmarks signify that, the postage stamp has been cancelled by hand; long, wavy lines that it has been cancelled by machinery.
