THE ANCONA.
AUSTRIAN EXCUSE DISPROVED. WASHINGTON, November 18. Dr Cecil Greil, the only American survivor from the submarined Ancona, has sworn an affidavit that an Austrian submarine shelled the Ancona after the Ancona had answered her warning not to seek to escape. AUSTRIAN SUBMARINE SUNK. ROME, November 18. It is reported that an Austrian submarine has been sunk by allied torpedo boats. SUBMARINE HUNTING. MORE VICTIMS. ROME, November 19. (Received inov. 20, at 0.15 a.m.) A steamer which has arrived' at Syracuse reports that the French captuTed an Austrian submarine off Tunis. It is also reported that French destroyers sank a large German submarine off Ben Masi.
