IN THE MIDDLE STYE. STRENGTH OF ENEMY FOECES. PETROGEAD, November 17. The strength of the enemy forces which made the thrust in the Middle Styr VaJley is one and a-half army corps. Their front runs astride the Kovel-Sarny railway, along which the enemy's guns harve been brought, some of the local roads being impassable for artillery. THE SPRING ISSUES. There is a Maxim to every 10 men. The issues of the spring campaign will depend upon the preparations in the winter interval.'' MUNITIONS FOR RUSSIA. POURING INTO MANCHURIA. (Received Nov. 18, at 5.45 p.m.) Thousands of buildings in Manchuria are full, and all the rolling stock avail* able is employed in an endless proces= sion of trains carrying Japanese and American munitions to Russia. MORE GEEMAN EEVERSES. AT THE DVINA AND LAKE SVENTEN. PETROGEAD, November 18. (Received Nov. 18, at 10.25 p.m.) A communique states: The enemy's attempts to cross the Dvina at several points below Dvinßk were frustrated. The Germans were compelled to evacuate some trenches at Lake Sventen. They attempted to approach the river near Chartorysk, but were repelled.
