HOSPITAL SATURDAY ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the executive of the above association was held in Mr E. S. Wilson's board room last night; present—Messrs W. L. Logie (in the chair), H. P. Wright, J. C. M'Georgo, F. G. Oumming, R. Martin, Dr Colquhoun, Mosdames J. C. M'George, J. B. Callan, jun., Misses Stewart and Hooper.' The following -wrote stating that tJley were willing to organise the collection in their • district:—Messrs Chesney Bros. (Waitati). Mr J. Craig (Owaka), Messrs Coutts (Brighton), Mr G. J. L. Kerr (Waikouaiti), Mr A. Leek (Port Ohalmeis). The secretary reported that several districts had yet to reply, and that he was writing to them again. The secretary reported that the following bands had signified their willingness to assist in the band concert to be held in the Botanic Gardens en Thursday evening: 4th Regimental, St. Eilda, Kaikorai, Salvation Army, and Dunedin Pipe. The City Council wrote granting permission for the concert to bo held in the gardens. The Musselburgh School Band advised that it would bo pleased to assist in connection with the street collection. Mr J. R. Macconachie, Oamaru. wrote advising what was being done in the Oamaru district for the Highlands and Islands of Scotland Fund. —Received.
The Dunedin and Roelyn Tram Company wrote granting permission for collectors wearing badges to travel on its cars on Friday, 26th inst. The Forbury Park Trotting Club wrote stating that it was donating £5 5s to the funds. Secretory to acknowledge with thanks. . Miss Stowart agreed to arrange for ladies to take charge of the tea arrangements at the Slfcuart Hall. Miss Stewart_ reported that the Patriotic Association ladies would be willing to assist in any way. The Chairman intimated * that thev would accept Miss Stewart's kind offer. The secretary reported that he had been advised that several country residents were forwarding flowers, Scotch cakes, scones, etc., to be disposed of an the 26th inst. The association will bo grateful for anv such donations from all those so disposed.
