THE OAMARU SHOW

The entries for the fifty-third annual show of the Aorth Otago Agricultural and Paetoral Association show a slight increase over last_ year s total, the number being 770, as against 763. The introduction of a w'oolrlassing section, which has brought 43 entries, has produced the gain. " Horses show a substantial increase, to which both draughts and hades contribute. In cattle tnere is a substantial decline owing mainly to the absence of fat animals and the almost complete disappearance of Holsteins. While the breeding class of sheep fully : maintain their aggregate of last year, there is a great drop in fat sheep and lambs, and a cSnsequfent substantial decline in the whole class Taken collectively, the produce classes trive a pronounced advance upon last show's figures, the cookery division being exceptionally, strong. On the whole, a good averago show may bo anticipated, while the display ot light horses promises to be the best ever, eeen here, good fields, being entered for all the competitions.
