THEFT OF STAMPS
SENTENCE DEFERRED. (Pkb United Press AssociA.no*.) WELLINGTON, November 15. Fritz Anton Strack, formerly on the staff of the Health Department, appeared before Mr Justice Chapman to-day for sentence on charges of stealing official stamps, which ho sold to a Dunedin stamp-dealing firm. When Strack was dismissed from the service he went to Australia, where he enlisted, but was arrested, and brought back. Tho Crown Prosecutor stated that Strack had since given the police every assistance, and had repaid the money. The Judge said the probation officer's report was favourable, but he wished to consider certain aspects of the case beforo passing sentence.
