REJOICINGS IN SOFIA.
FOLLOWED BY WAVE OF DEPRESSION.

There were great rejoicings at Sofia over the occupation of Nish and Kra» hevo, followed by a wave of depression owing to the great number of wounded brought in to Sofia. Wounded officers sneak of the incredible ferocity of the fighting. The Serbians defended the places with unprecedented stubborn* ness. Few were taken prisoner, and women and children fought in the first line.'
FRENCH PUSHING ONWARD. DISEMBARKATION AT SALONIKA CONTINUES.' LIKELIHOOD OF TROUBLE IN BULGARIA, SALONIKA, November 9. (Received Nov. 10, at 1.5 a.m.) The French General Staff announces that a fierce action continues north-east of Strumnitza. The French are pushing northward, and the British are closely co-operating upon the right. An artillery duel is raging at Valandovo. The Serbians are also participating. The French guns are causing frightful devastation. The Serbians gained an advantage at Vranja. Splendid feather favours the continued considerable' disembarkation of the Allies.
Prisoners declare that serious trouble will break out in Bulgaria the moment the Allies gain a military success.
Several Turkish divisions have crossed Bulgaria towards the Danube. The troops travelled at night, fearing *a reaction of the papulation.
