He is a son of tho late General Sir James M'Leod FraserTytler, K.C.8., whose distinguished record in India included the first relief of Lucknow. He has .passed tho medical examination, and takes his place in the rank-and-filc, as did his father when he commenced his military career. It is probable that he will be included in tho Marlborough quota to go .forward on the 16th inst. Mr FraeerTytler was the president of the Marlborough Automobile Association last year, and is a prominent member of tho Scottish Society of- Marlborough Several of his close relatives are fighting with the Scottish regiments in Northern France.
