DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. The improvement in the share market, brought about by tho war linonce proposals submitted to Parliament, has been appreciably maintained during the week. . In,'dredging shares Electrics eased slightly with sellers at about 4sj and buyers offering 3s 3d. ' llbing Suns had inquiry on Thursday at £1 2s 9d, a sale being reportefl, 011 Wednesday at_ £1 3s 6d. . In the mining division Ross Goldficlds I have shown a tendency, to case, with buyers 1 at about'»ls 9d, and sellers yesterday asking 2s. ' Talisman ! Consolidateds have fluctuated a good deal, from '.17s to 19s I (buyer), and 17s 6d to 19s . 8d (sbllers). I Sales were; effected at 18s, 19a, and 19s 6d, aind the final offer was 18s, with a seller "asking-19s 3d.. Waihis and Waihi Grand J unctions have remained .practically unchanged. Blaokvater Mines havo been in demand at 12s and 13s, with no sellers. In investment shires a sji-le of the, old issue-of Bank of New. Zealands was. effected yesterday at £10, with sellers finally asking 2s ■6d . more.' - The new has not attracted much attention, a buyer yesterday offering £15 .16s, and. a seller asking £16 2s' 6d.; , ■ Union Banks , havo been in demand lip to £51, with' sellers not disposed to quit' below £52. Insurances have not varied. ' LTriion Steams (ord.), have eased, and were placed on the market yesterday at £1 2s j}d, with-buyers at Id less. The preference issue had buyers/.at 19s 9d, and sellers asking £1. : New Zealand Coal and Oils have been quoted at Is (buyer), and 2s 3d (seller).' Wcstport Coals were easy yesterday at, £1- 9s_ 6d and £1 9s 9d (seller), Woollens (ord.) have been consistently .in demand at £5 Is 6d. A,sale of Milburn Limes (£l) was reported on Wednesday at £1 12s 6d;' sellers asking 6d and. Is extra since. Busineea' has been reported jn Mosgiel Woollens, at £4-, with no buyers later at that price.' The ordinary issue ,of Wright, Stephensons advanced' on Thursday, with a buyer at £7 2s 6d, and a seller at £8. a' biryer yesterday offering £7 ,Is. A 'sale of Whitcombe and Tombs was reported, yesterday at £5 435, 6d, with no seller. Other shares have, been: quoted at current rates.
