The steamer Ilford, bound from Delagoa B3y to Auckland with~ar~cargo of fertiliser, has put into Newcastle to rebunker owing to her protracted passage because of rough weather. A big gathering at the Town Hall, under the auspices of the Women's National Movement, passed a resolution in favour of the six o'clock closing of hotels, (Received Aug. 11, at 1.25 a.m.) In the State Assembly Mr Black stated that the Government owned 44 hotels and three wine bars.
