Wheat.—The market was firmer at the outset owing to higher American cables, but it, was quieter later on, due to freer offerings of Manitoba wheat and the improved American weather. Copper.—Spot, £69 7s 6d, £69 12s 6d; three months, £70 15s, £71; electrolytic, £84, £85. Tin.—Spot, £150, £150 10s; threemonths, £152 ss, £152 15s. Lead, £22 12s 6d, £22 17s 6d. Spelter, £75, £65. Silver, 22 9-16 d per ounce. British imports increased by £1,671,663 during July, and. exports decreased by £9,683,869, while re-exports increased by £1,582,874.
WASHINGTON, August 10. (Received Aug. 10. at 10 p.m.) The official estimate of the winter wheat stock is 659,000.000 bushels, and for spring 307,000,000 bushels.
