BIG APPLICATIONS.
LONDON, Julv 10. (Received July 11, a t 3 p.m") The City and Midland Bank and Lloyd's Bank have each applied for £21,000,000, and the London County and Westminster Bank for £20,000.000 of the war loan.
TYPICAL SUBSCRIPTIONS. LONDON, July 10. (Received July 11, at 3.20 p.ni.) Barclay's Bank has subscribed £12,000,000 to the war loan, and the Joint Stock Banks have decided to double their subscription to the November war loan, making for th<; new loan, rou"hlv £200,000,000. ° *'
It js estimated that the subscription amounts to at least £700.000,000. Mr M'Kcnna will announce the result on Monday. Lord Mic'ielham has subscribed £1,150,000, and typical subscriptions include the Underground Railway £800,000, the Midland Railway' £1,125,000, the White Ster Line £350,000, the Edwards Hospital Fund £105,000, Harrod's Stores £80,000, the Yorkshire Miners £50,000, the Dockers' Union £10,000.
