OTAGO HUNT

RUN AT WOODEATON. •A , lar ? e nura ber of riders participated m the hunt arranged at AVoodeaton on Saturday afternoon. Owing to the members taking part in the sports procession from the Octagon to Carisbrook the run was not commenced at the advertised time, and as a result was, to a certain extent, curtailed. However, those who followed liad a good time, there being some good fencing by the different horses. The hounds worked well, and made the pace merry from start to finish. Among those who followed were: Miss Brown on Loopo!oo Miss Roggers on The Captain, Miss Kirkpatrick on Barney, Miss Mouat on Seaview, Mrs Mackay on Silver Dirk, Mrs Conn on Ngatiri, Mrs M'Gowan on Miss Hazel, Mr Jordon on Welhvood. The Middlemarch members of the Otago Hunt some time ago drew up a programme for their annual point-to-point steeplechase and it was passed by the District Committee of the Dunedin Jockey Club. TV Milton members of the Ota go Hunt w.ll hold a noint-to-point steeplechase at Milton on Wednesday next.
