OTAGO WOMEN'S PATRIOTIC ASSOCIATION.

Work was carried on briskly at the Early Settlors Hall yesterday. Three large cases and one umall box of - equipment for the Otago men in the Fourth and Fifth Reinforcements were sent to Wellington. The Obago Women's Club sent in a pareel of hand-knitted sooks for the Lady Liverpool Fund, and a friend donated a largo roll of forfar for towels for the men. On Thursday afternoon Miss 'Campbell brought the children belonging to one or two of the classes in the George Street School to see_ fcho kits that were being prepared. Thjir contribution took the form of 69 forfar towels. Arrangements are well in hand for the farewell evening for the soldiers This function is to be held in the Art Gallery Hall on_ Friday, April 16, when it is hoped there wjll be a large gathering of the men and their parents. ' All workers are requested to come on Monday and following days next week as there is a "very large quantity of work to be carried through. It is intended to gtve the men of the Sixth Reinforcements their parcels and gifts on Saturday moramg_ before they leave for Trent-ham.
