!Pl* UKITED PhBSS ASSOCIATION.) NAPIER, January 29. Tho third wool sale of the season was held to-day, when 9683 bales were offered. There was a good attendance of buyers, bidding was spirited, and high prices were realised. The wool was very dirty owing to the recent dusty weather, but was in great demand to fill tho requirements of manufacturers of uniform! for the soldiers. Scoured wool brought up to 20id, and lambs' wool was also in great demand, making up to 14$ d. The following is a comparison of the prices ruling at thia sale and at the December sale, the figures for the latter being given in parentheses: — Best halfbred, 9id to 133 d (lOd to 12Jd); medium halfbred, (to lljd); scoured crossbred, 164 d to 19id (13id to 15d); fina crossbred, 10id to 13id (9Jd to ll£d); medium crossbred, lOd to 13d (9id to 10|d); ooarso crossbred, 9|d to 13d (8d to 10£ d); inferior crossbred, 8d to lid (7£d to 8d); pice-,, 6id to ll|d (6d to 9d); bellies, 7d to 93d (6d to 73d); locks, 54d to 6id (4d to sid); lambs, 74d to 14id (lOd to 13Jd); dead, 84d to lOjd (Bjd to 9d).
