AMATEUR ATHLETICS
A committee meeting of the Otago Centre of the N.Z.A.A.A. was held on Monday evening to arrange the programme of events for the Otago provincial championships, which meeting will be held at the Caledonian Grounds on Saturday, February 13. It was decided to donate half the profits of the sports *° t'. 10 Belgian Relief Fund. The championship events will be as follows:—100yds, 220y<ls. 440 yds, 880 yds, Onemile, Three-miles, 120 yds Hurdles, 440 yds Hurdles, Mile Walk, Long Jump, High .lump, Flop, Step, and Jump. Pole Vault, Putting 161b Weight, Throwing 161b Hammer, and Mile Relay Race (880 yds, 440 yds, 220 yds, 220 yds). The following handicap events will also be held:— 100 yds, 220 yds, One-mile, and 120 yds (under 18 years). The " List " banner will be available for competition amongst the clubs, _ and the " Reid" challenge cup for individual competition, the points to count as follow:— Ist. 3 points; "2nd. 2 points; 3rd. 1 point. Entries will close on Friday, February 5.
