ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
(Peb United Pbess Association.) STRATFORD, January 18. Francis Seddon M'Cullough, aged six years, son of Mr W. F. MOullough, was killed yesterday by a. milk cart, driven by his brother, overturning on the top of him on the East road. FEILDING, January 18. A sad double tragedy is reported from Rongotea. Two old men, who were mates, had been engaged rabbiting. They had l>een drinking heavily in their camp, and Robert Paterson died practically in delirium tremens. His mate, named Emanuel White, went to Rongotea to report the matter to the police, and ho, too, dropped dead. The doctor said that death in both cases was due to heart failure. William Echold, residing at South Dunedin, was received into the Hospital yesterday afternoon suffering from a crushed log, tho injuries having been received- at tho Dunedin wharf. Tho case is not a serious one. William Ogilvio, aged 78 years, an inmate of the Benevolent Institution, who had l been ailing for the jiast few days, died suddenly in the institution last night.
