The Ivanhoe Lodge held its fortnightly meet inp; on Monday, November 16, A.M. liro. It. < jdiill presiding over a. good muster of members -and visitors. The Lilv of the Valley Lodge held its quarterly meeting in the Oddfellows' Hall, Albany street, on Wednesday, A.D. Jiro. Paul presiding over a largo number of members. Nomination of ollieers: liro. Metcalf, A.D. ; Bro. Wilson, V.A. ; Jiro. Crawford, Secretary (re-elected); Bro. Robertson, Treasurer (re-elected) ; Bro. Ramham. I.G. ; Jiro. Thompson, O.G. ; Bros. M'Donald and Reid. A.D. liards; Bros. Campliell and Whit-ty, V.A. Bards. In speaking to his motion regarding the Organising Grand Secretary, P.D.P. Bro. Reid blamed members of the various lodges for not putting enough energy into the order and trying to get- now members. The question caused a good deal of discussion among the members, and it was recoinmendod to the incoming Board of Management. P.D.P. Jiro. Green moved, and Bro. Rcid seconded —" That the secretary and treasurer be permanent offices during the pleasure of the lodge." Several members spoke favourably on this matter. Accounts for £40 were passed for payment. The usual toasts were honoured and responded to.

The regular mooting of All Nations Lod'jro was presided over by A.D. Kro. K. C. Storer; there was a good attendance of members. A letter of sympathy was parsed to the relatives of a deceased brother. The judges' detailed report of the efficiency competition was received a,nd dealt with, satisfaction being expressed at tho lodge coining out oil top. The lodge met again on Friday, when a large number of members fro in the town lodges were present. The Grand Lodge officers (D.P. Bro. Beazley and the Royal Arch Chapter) attended officially. A largo number of ladies were also present. The chair was occupied by K.A.I). Bro. D Y M. Millar. After congratulating the lodge on winning the competition for the third time out of five starts, the R.A.D. called on G.P. Bro. Alexander to present tho shield, which he did in a neat, speech, expressing the hope that the other lodges would strive to win next time. A.D. Bro. Storer, in. replying, assured- 'tho members -of other lodges that All Nations would take some beating next competition. The rest of the evening was taken up with dancing and musical items, refreshments being handed round during an interval.
