OTAGO REINFORCEMENTS.
LEAVE FOR TRENTHAM ON DECEMBER 14.
Up till yesterday 148 men had volunteered for the Otago and Southland quota of tbe second reinforcements. As, however, about 700 men will now be required from this district for the second reinforcements, it will be seen that there is yet a large number of volunteers -wanted. The men of the reinforcenments will leave for the ooncentrstioa camp at Trentham on December 14. Robin, acting-commandant of tbe New Zealand foroes, will arrive in Dunedin to-day. He will visit the troopships nowbeing fitted ur> at Port Chalmers and the troops at the Heads aDd at the Central Battery, and will interview representatives of any bodies who may have business with the Defence Department.
