THE SHARE MARKET.
DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. The local share market was again quiet yesterday. Waihis were weaker, shares being placed un the market at th 6 final sitting at £2 Is ,6d, with no buyers above £2 Os 9d. Talisman Consolidatcds had steady sellers at £1 13s 9d, without buyers. "VVaihi Grand Junctions were unaltered. National Banks were in firm demand at £5 16s 6d, and Bank of New Zealands (old) at £l(J 18s, a seller of the former being quoted at £5 17s. Union Steams (ord.) had firm inquiry at £1 4s 6d, with sellers at £1 4s 9d. Milburn Limee were disposed of at £1 12s, aiKl further lots were wanted at this price, with no declared sellers. Kaiapoi Woollens (ord.) had reported business at £5 6s 6d, the market closing with buyers up to £5 6s. without sellers. National Mortgage were ex dividend yesterday, and had a buyer at the afternoon callover at £4 2s 6d, but no sellers came forward.
