SUIT FOB COMPENSATION FAILS.

Mr Justice Stringer delivered judgment in the case in which the widow of Francis Smith, the victim of the Kaimata tragedy, sued his employers,- the New Zealand Express Company, for compensation for his death when engaged in work on behalf of the company. The Judge held that death -was .not directly due to any special risk arising from the nature of his employment, and gave judgment for the defendants, with. costs. ,
