Judgment was given for plaintiffs in the following undefended cuees: —Chrietina Walker v. Archibald Hunter, £2 12s, for board and lodging (costs 10s); J. Wilkio. and Co. v. Edith-Best (Christchurch), £1 8s 7d for goocte (coste 6s); Butterworth Broe. v. R. Gardiner (Loehiol), £6 2s 9d, '' for goods (costs £6s 6d); John Swan and Co. v. Webber and Smily (Timaru), £5 7s 6d, for goods (costs 23s 6d); T. E. Shiel and Co. v Cornelius Bowie, £9 ss, for rent (costs 8s); Wilson, Balk and Co. v. Adol■phus Anderson Shannon (Grcymouth), judgment for costs (19s). In the case of T. E. Rhiel and Co. r. John M'Hardy (Pctono), in which plaintiffs claimed £30 3s 3d, for oate and wheat, defendant applied for a change of venue to Pctone, and plaintiff offering- no opposition, tho application was granted.
