MEETINGS.

At a meeting of the Naumai Club connected with the Young Women 3 Christian Association on Sunday evening, a, larger ( number than usual listened with interest to another of the Frank Paton s dresses, as r©ad by Miss Gnffin, on The Personal Appropriation o£ Power. The following contributed to, the musical programme: —Misses Anderson ,and Dunbar (oiano duet), Miss Morgan (songs), Mrs H. J. Davis (songs), Mr and Mrs Robertson (vocal duet and song), Mr Dobbio (songs), Miss Squire fpiano solo), Mies Lefevre (songs)! Dr Harrison (song). Demonstrations of bandaging were given by the first aid; class and by the nursing division. Dr Harrison sooko of the excellent work done by the division. He also expressed a hope that more men would join the classes. Tho certificates and bars for the year, were presented by the vicar. Mies M'Kerrow (the secretary) read a very satisfactory annual report. An excellent supper, provided by tlhe" ladies, was much appreciated. For the dance the music was supplied gratuitously by Mr and Mrs Fleming Robertson. The feature of tho evening was the presentation,'at the request of headquarters, London, by tho Mayor of Hampden (Mr W. Nicolspn) of special votes of -thanks, handsomely inscribed on vellum, of tihe Chapter General, and signed by the Grand Prior, to the lady 6uo©rLntendeait (Mrs H. J. Davie) and to' Miss M'Kerrow (secretary) for distinguished services rendered, the Hampden Division being second onlv to Duned'in in tho number of cases attendied. Tho iunior department of the Y.M.C.A. held its weekly rally on Friday night, when there was an average- attendance. The subject of the evening was a " Mayoral Election," and five candidates came forward as aspirants for the position of mayor. The speeches were well received by the boys, and if thov lacked an intimate knowledge of the su'ojcot, they provided the hearers with plenty oi amusement; The candidates, at the close of their speeches, were subi cted to a tevere catcchising bv the boys. After the election, tho remainder of the evening was spent enjoyably at the games.
