OCEAN BEACH DOMAIN BOARD
The monthly meeting of the Ocean Beach Domain Board was hold yesterday afternoon. Present —Messrs Hancock, Sincock, Burnett, Clark, Hodges, White, Shacklock. This being the first meeting of tho board's new year, Mr J. H. Hancock was re-elected chairman for a further term by a unanimous vote of tho members.
A letter was received from the St. Clair Life Saving Club, suggesting a number oi amendments to the board's Dy-laws respecting the control of surf bathing.—The bylaws and the letter were referred to a committee consisting of Messrs Burnett and Shacklock to interview the board's solicitors for the purpose of ascertaining whether it was competent for tho board to adopt tho amendments proposed by the Life Saving Club.
Messrs Hodges and White were appointed a Works Committee, and Mr Snackiock was elected treasurer.
The Clerk reported that there was a credit balance of £220 ■ 8s 2d at the bank.— Received. ,
Accounts amounting to £156 15s were passed for payment. The board decided to pay a visit of inspection to the domain at an early date.
