BRISBANE, January 30. (Received Jan. 30, at 9.50 p.m.) Reports by Eastern steamers show that the United States is experiencing considerable trouble in the Philippines in subduing tho Moros. Recently the Moros ambushed an American officer, and hacked him to pieces.
Th# opinion is expressed in some quarters that the Philippines are likely to secure their independence, and it is considered that in that event serious trouble will be experienced by the Philippinos, who will be unable to cope with the Moros.
