The competitions were continued on Wednesday with an improved audience in the evening. The following results were announced:—

The chief feature of the Competitions to-day was the adjudication upon the pianoforte solo championship.' The judge (Mr Harold Gregßon) placed Miss Kathleen Kreswell (Ashburton), 146 marks, 1; Miss K. Quill (Otaki), 140 marks, 2; Miss P. Hanify (Wellington), 136 marks, 3; and Miss Madoline Webb (Auckland), 135 marks, 4. Hon mention: !£iss Vera Moore (Dunedin), 134; Mi6s Bertha Baker (Dunedin), 133; Amy Eingtfln (Wellington), 129. The contest was spread over two days, 17 competing. Other competitions resulted as follows : —
