STRIKE CAUSES FRUIT FAMINE.
Just at a season of the year , when a plentiful diet of fruit is essential to the health and well-being of the community supplies have been cut off by the strike and valuable cargoes allowed to rot in the holds. On a warm summer day a juicy orange is not only very gratetul but a splendid corrective of stomach disorders. Fortunately there are substitutes, chief amongst which are wholesome jellies flavoured with fruit juices. Ship jelly chrystals, retailed everywhere at five packets a shilling, aro most highly commended. They are wholesome and nutritious, and extremely popular everywhere.
