Tho monthly meeting of tho Otago Land Board concluded on Thursday evening,' the Commissioner (Mr E. H. Wilmot) presiding, and Messrs G. Livingstone ana J. C. Anderson being the other members present. The following business was transacts :— After considering a potation from householders and residents of Coal Creek Plat praying that tho wholo of. tho Bchool glebe bo retained intact, as it is the only publio reserve in tho district, the board decided to hold this matter over pending a report from the ranger. Mr Thee. M'Elligott applied to purchase the area of four acres in block 11, Cromwell district, hold by him under miscellaneous license.—Referred to ranger and Warden for reports. Ranger O'Neill forwarded a roport upon' the application of Messrs Edward Hughes and John Jos. O'Donohiuo for permission to occupy section 28, block XI, Waitahuna West district. — The application from O'Donohuo was declined, «nd that from Hughes was' referred to tho Warden, the land to bo. advertised. Mr Alex. Christie, licensee of run 424b under pastoral license, applied for a renewal of this license.—Left in tho hands of the Commissioner Mr Leslio F. Reid wrote requesting tho board to reconsider its decision of 10th ult., declining to grant his application to transfer to Mr A. M. Gore, fonvardod a report upon section 2, block XII, Greenvale district and stated that, the land being auriferous, there was an objection to its being let under renewable lease.—rhe area granted to Mr Gordon on a fivo years license at 2s per acre per annum, subjcct to payment of £8 for fencing, and excepting an aroa of half an aero in the northeast corner, which had been granted on a five years' license to Thomson s trustees at 2s 6d pen annum. fi Tho board was requested to hx the capital valuo of sections, 3 and 4, block XVI, Leaning Rock district, area 4ac, 3 , 14p granted under occupation lease to Mi Sydney A.
