(Received Sept.. 3, at 0.35 a.m.) Nine fresh cases o{ smallpox were reported to-day, including a youth who was waiting for 60me time at the Town Hall for vaccination. Since the outbreak 616 cases have been discovered. MELBOURNE, September 2. A steward' aboard the steamer Persic, from Sydney, developed suspected smallpox, and precautions were adopted.
