ARRIVAL AT DURBAN. Preas Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. , DURBAN, September 1. The Australian warships wero warmly welcomed. Two hundred members of the Australia marched through the streets, headed by their band.
The Mayor entertained the officers at luncheon, and complimentary speeches were made.
The pirn has complimentary references to the visit. The Natal Advertiser says that it brings home to everyone that Australia is in deadly earnest over her naval defence, whilst South Africa is still trifling with the question, though every consideration urges her to follow the example of Australia.
