The rain of the past few clays in Dnnoclin disappeared before a high wind from a southerly direction, which blew in varying degrees of strength, at times risimr to a heavy gale, from Thursday night till Friday evening, when it passed away, again giving place i<i cold rain and generally "wetconditions. While the wind raired tlio streets dried quickly, and dust and irrit were (lying unpleasantly on Friday. The prrjspeels at an early hour this morning were not good, there being every indication that wintry conditions would continue.
