At the New Zealand Rugby Union Management Committee meeting a- request was received from Auckland to change the date of the Auckland match against the Australian team on Wednesday, Auguft 27, to the following Saturday, owing to the Saturday half-holiday being in force. The committee decided that no change could be made, Mr W. Parata asked the committee to arrange a match for August 27 between (ho Australians and a Bay of Plenty team, at Rotorua, but it was decided not to entertain the suggestion as tho programme oou'.d not be altered. WEDNESDAY MATCH. The match A. and T. Inglis v. Post and Post and Telegraph was played at Culling Park yesterday afternoon, and resulted in a win for the former' by 3'goals to 2. The ground was in first class order, and a fair number of spectators viewed the match, which was ably controlled by Mr Booby, Maw (2) and 'Scott scored for .A. and T. Inglis, as did M'Kittcrick and Alarryatt for tho losers. 'The play of tho former team, for which Hannah and Aladderz played well, was much superior to that of the Post and Telegraph, who will liave to perform much better if they wish to maintain the reputation of past years.

A cablegram has been received by the New Zealand Rugby League officials that arrangements have been made for the New Zealand team to play four matches in Sydney and one in Brisbane. The team w.II leave Wellington on May 30. When tin selectors meet in Wellington on Saturday they wiil, if necessary, arrange practice matches for the purpose of making a selection. The cablegram al?o intimated that the New South Wales League had definitely decided to send a team to tour New Zealand this season.
