GUATEMALA'S DEBTS
ENFORCING BRITISH CLAIMS. Preu Association—By Tolegr&ph—Copyright. KINGSTON, May 13. The cruiser iEolus has sailed to enforce British claims against Guatemala. The latter has appealed to Washington, but it is understood that Mr Bryan will not support any , American country repudiating its just debts. The external debt of Guatemala in 1911 was £2,194.544, including interest unpaid to December 31, 1910, amounting to £711,744. The regular service of the loan has been suspended 6ince 1899.
