Experiments are now being made with n view to preserving live fish by freezing them, in a case of ice. M. Pidot, who did valuable work in connection with liquid air, had 28 live fresh-water fish frozen into a Mock of solid ice, which he then cooled down to 4deg. below zero Fahrenheit. He kept the fish thus for two months, and when the block of ice was thawed, they came out as fresh and lively as if nothing had hapnoncd.
