TRIENNIAL MOVABLE MEETING. ' (Pee United Puess Association.) ' .., . NAPIER, April 11. At tho triennial movable meeting of the Hibernian Australasian Catholic Benefit .Society to-day tho subject occupying the most, attention was the proposal for the consolidation 'of (lie sick iunds of tho branches to bring thorn on the same footing as the funeral fund. After a good deal of discussion it was decided .to defer further consideration of the proposal until tho next triennial meeting, tho various branches in the meantime to be shown tho obvious advantages accruing from the scheme. In this connection it miiy be stated that the, present credit balanco of the funeral fund, which, is consolidated, is £10,123 13s sd, and this amount, lent on mortgage at an average of 5 per cent., has produced, sufficient revenue to meet all the claims for the year under tho fund', less £13 18s 6d. In order to expediate the business of the meeting tho consideration of tho proposed amendment to the .rules of the society "was .relegated to a sub-committeo consisting of the .district executive officers and twelve delegates, which. will report to a general meeting to bo held at 9.30 a.m. to-morrow. A motion brought forward by the-''Wel-lington 'delegates, .to transfer tho headquarters of the society from Auckland to Wellington was defeated by 45 votes to 24. The following resolution was carried unanimously—" The triennial movable meeting ;of the H.A.C.B. Society, held at Napier, and thoroughly representative of the society, in tho dominion, desires to heartily congratulate the Irish parliamentary party, through its incomparable leader, Mr John Redmond, M.P.. upon tho passing of the Homo' Rule Bill through the House of Commons, and the meeting expresses the cherished hope that the measure will soon reach the Statute Book, when a new and brighter era shall-dawn on Ireland" It was decided to forward a copy of the resolution to Mr John Redmond'and the' Hon. Mr Asquith, Prime Minister of Great Britain. ■' . The- illness'of His Holiness the Pope was also referred .to in' sympathetic terms, and the following resolution was carried unanimously-" The H.A.C.8.5., representing over 3030 members, sitting at Napier, tender respectful homage to His Holiness the Pope, thank him for his apostolic benediction, and assure him of our prayers." This resolution was cabled. Homo this morning.
