LABOUR UNION TACTICS
i SEVERE CRITICISM. AN OUTSPOKEN JUDGE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, April 11. (Received ApTil 11, at 9.55 p.m.) In the Arbitration Court to-day Mr Justice Haydon, in refusing an applicaton to vary an award, severely criticised the attitude of the unions. One and another application showed how far they would go to get the boards constituted to suit themselves, without regard for anyone else. Specialising on a certain case, lie said that if a board were constituted which suited the applicants it was: "What a' fair court and what a just judge," but if it did not suit them, then it was: " What an injustice and what an outrage. We have been refused a tribunal to redress our grievances, and we will strike." Such was the love and such the mercy which rival unions showed for each other.
