The Invercargill is duo to-morrow with a cargo of timber from Waikawa, Tho Kotare sailed yesterday for Waikaia, where she will load timber for Dunedin. \ Tho Poherua eailed early yesterday morning from Dunedin for Greymouth, via way ports. Itao nexrt direct steamer to arrive hero will bo the Shaw, Savill liner Zealandic, which is expected to reach this port about April 23, from London direct. The Shaw-Savill r liner Waiwera left London on April 4 for Auckland, Wellington, and Timaru, and is due at Auckland about May 22. The Monowai arrived oariy yesterday morning from _ Auckland, via East Coast ports, and, having arrived a day lato owing to bad weather up north,..'the vessol'sailed again last evening to make up her lost time. The Storm arrived yesterday afternoon from the norifn and anchored in the powder, ground to discharge explosives. Lato in the evening she came up to town to load cargo for northern ports. _ Tho Flora left Timaru yesterday for Wellington direct to load sheep for Lyttelton, and is due hero about tho middle of next week. The Moeraki is due early this morning from Sydney, via' Cook Strait. She will sail from Port Chalmers to-morrow afternoon for Melbourne, via Bluff and Hobart. After enjoying holiday leave, Mr A. Brooks rejoined the Haupiri at Auckland yesterday as chief officer, i'ne other officers reverting to their former grades. Owing to tho Calliope dock, at Auckland, being closed for repairs, the Union Company has decided to send tho turret steamer Koromiko to_ Sydney for survey and overhaul. After this, is completed the Koromiko will proceed to Newcastle to load for New Zealand ports. ,

After loading a largo quantity of «00l for London the steamer Clan Menzies eailed last evening for Oamaru and other northern loading ports. Following tho practice of other vessels of that line, tho Clan Menzies loaded concentrates,, at Port Pirie before coming to New Zealand for final loading. Tlie Vacuum Oil Company's chartered steamer Collingham was expected to leave Lyttelton yesterday for Dunedin. After completing discliarge of her case oil from New York, the Collingham will proceed to Newcastle to load for America.

Tho Maitai has been delayed at Wellington' this week to await southern consignments of fruit ex Navua from tho islands. She will therefore omit calling at Lyttelton this trip, and is due here to-morrow afternoon from Wellington direct. Tho Waitomo, which is now discharging 5000 tons of Newcastle coal at Leja, is expected to reach Dunedin early next week. She is at present retaining' her old name, Gilford, and on arrival at this port sho will be re-named Waitomo.

The National Mortgage Company received cablo advices yesterdat- notifying the departure of the Karamea from Liverpool on March 29 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about May 20. The Pakeha is expected to leave Lyttelton either this evening or on Monday next for Port Chalmers or Dunedin, tho latter contingency depending upon tho vessel's draught. Sho has 1600 tons of London cargo for this port, and after completing her discharge sho will load about 4000 bales of wool and a largo quantity of frozen mutton.

The Government cable-repair steamei Tutanekai was re-oommissioned at Wellington on Wednesday in preparation for the visit of H.M.S. Now Zealand. Captain Post's officers are: Chief, Mr J. M'Konzie (ox Haupiri); second, Mr D. M'Lcay (ex Wakatu); Mr W. L. Leers (ex Awaroa); chief engineer, Mr J. Macphersou; second, Mr I). M'lntyro (ex Red Pine); third, Mr W. Total output for tho month, 59,205.1 tons; total export, 58,371.0 tons. Of tho output, 3003 tons wero shipped to Melbourno by the s.s. Katoa. The export of timber for the month was 71,807 surier. feet. During tho month 86 steamors, representing 40,463 tons entered the port, and 88 steamers representing 47,339 tons, loft the port, in all representing a total tonnage of 93,807.
