NEW YORK, September 6. (Received Sept. 6, at. 11.25 p.m.)
Lieutenant-general Macnrthnr, who was attending a reunion of his old regiment) the 24th Wisconsin Volunteers, dropped dead from apoplexy. ' Captain Parson, a comrade in arms, wag stricken with paralysis on toeing Lieuten-ant-general Macarlhur fall. Lieutenant-general Macarthnr distinguished himself in the Atlanta campaign during the Civil war.
