The notes in circulation total £29,274,000 j public deposits, £15,897,000; other deposits, £47.116,000; Government, securities, £13,368,000; other securities, £36,519,000. The bank rate of discount is 4 per cent. Short loans are discounted at 2 per cent., and three months' bills as follows:—London 3§ per cent,; Paris 2f per cent.; Berlin, 4jj per cent.
