BELGIAN LUNACY LAWS

DEMAND FOR REFORM
Prass Association—By Telegraph— Copyright.
BRUSSELS, September 4,
A violent press campaign is proceeding in favour of a reform of the lunacy laws, owing to the abduction and immurement in a Brussels asylum of the Baroness van Borcn, a wealthy Dutch orphan. The sole ground stated for her madness is that, she proposed to marry her coachman. She describes herself as the victim of her relatives' greed, and adds that her suitor is in every way worthy of her. She is now prosecuting the Ostcnd police.
