Consols are quoted at £78. Colonial Government stocks aio unchanged. Tho wheat markets are quiet, and fairly steady at a slight reduction. Five Australian cargoes lave been sold at from 39s 3d to 40s, parcels that liavo arrived at 40s to 40s 3d, and April-May shipment nt 38s 4jd. There is a quiet trade in spot at 425. The flour market is quiot Australian, 27s 6(1, ex store; 265, c.i.f. The oats market is earier. La Plata, April-May 'shipment, 38s 6d. Beans and peas are linn, and prices are unchanged. The butter market is lifeless, there being no buyers. Danish, 124s to 1275; choicest Australian, 110s to 112s; secondary, 104s to 108s; New Zealand. 112s to 114s; unsaltod, 116s. 'IV. market closed with a downward tendency. 'Hie cheoso market is dull. Now Zealand, 725. Copper: Spot, £70 ss; three months, £71 2s 6d. Tin : t'pot, £198; three months, £194 15s. licad : Imports, 22,323 tors; exports, 4047 tons. Pig iron, £2 13s lOd. Spelter, £25 10s. Wolfram, 30s to 31s. Sugar: German, 13s 6d; first marks, 16s Bd.
