Mr \V. FrasDr, M.J. , ., arrived' in Dunedin from the north yesterday afternoon, and lcavce tliis morning for Central Otago in ordor to visit; sevoral portions of tlio Wakatipu constituency which he represents. Dr S. J. Simpson, junior house surgeon at Wellington Hospital, on Tueeday forwarded his resignation, which the board aeoopted with regrot. Ho loaves Wellington at the end of April for London to further his medical studies. Dr H. D. Robertson, of Dunedin (son of. Mr D. Robertson, Secretary of Post and Telegraphs), has iicen appointed junior house surgeon- at fte hospital. The funeral' of Mr George Hart, late' chief reporter of Iho Christchurch Press, yesterday morning wae -virtually a. private, ono, but tho local newspaper etaffs attended in full strength, and many •institutions and public bodice sent a representative- to express their sympathy with the relatives.Telegrams of condolenco are . (says aChristchurrh message) being received from all parts of tho Dominion.
