SYDNEY, February 8. (Received Fob. 8, at 10.10 p.m.) The secretary of the Australasian Lawn Tennis Association has received a cablegram from tho president of tho United .States National Tennis Association challenging for tiio Davis: Cup. No English challenge, has yet been received, but entries do not close till tho" first Monday in March. In the event of England not challenging, the Americans will play the preliminary ties in New Zealand.
