We have been asked to state that it was Constable Baker who noticed the displacement of the shutters in Briscoe and Co.'s fire-alarm apparatus in the early morning of Wednesday last, and telephoned the information to the Fire Brigade, and not the night watchman (Mr Raidington), as stated by us on Thursday morning.
What one always loses by fire is loss of business and business connection. Install the MAY-OATWAY FIRE ALARM and you never have to face this loss. Office, Bond street.—Advt.
