Several questions are being asked in tho Houso of Commons regarding the Japanese tariff which the Diot is° now considering, and which comes into operation in July,, I,9ll..,Tho,duties on textiles aro said to average from two and a-half to threefold above present rates, and will ho prohibitive to many Lancashire and Yorkshire articles. Mr T. M'Kinnon Wood told the House that tho Board of Trade was consulting the Chambers of Commerce.
