SHIPWRECK RELIEF SOCIETY
A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Shipwreck • Relief Society was held yesterday aftorriccn; present—Sir C. W. Chamberlain '(chairman); Captain Beaumont, Messrs J. F. Arnold, M.P., G. Fenwick. F. 0. Brirtgeman, T. W. Whitspn,'_G. B. Bullock, and W. A. Moore. Apologios for no.nattendanco Were received • from Me»srs W. Belcher, D. E. Theomin, J. A. Park, and Captain Strang. .' ' . The Chairman thanked the committee for electing him to the position. Ho felt it ah honour to occupy the position and would do his best to carry out his duties. The Secretary (Mr -E., S. Wilson) submitted n. list of donations to the society sinco its formation in 1903. The total amount was oujsxlo the. yearly subscriptions. It was resolved to insert the name of Mr John Mill on the list' of life members. Tlio, Thames Harbour Board forwarded a donation of £2 2s. to the,, fund? of tho society., ' - " ■ Captain Cashman, of the Lady Roberts, forwarded £3, collected at the Oamaru re? gatta. It was resolved,to thank Captain Cashman for his efforts on behalf of the society. ■■■':<:■ ' _ .' '.':.'.
